Tender description

The Medical Education department within NHS Lanarkshire require to purchase high fidelity manikins to enable the delivery of simulation based education programmes to undergraduate medical students, foundation trainees and substantive post clinicians. The contract will be split between 2 lots which will be evaluated and awarded separately: Lot 1: Supply and maintenance of two (2) high fidelity adult manikins; Lot 2: Supply and maintenance of one (1) high fidelity paediatric manikin. The Medical Education department within NHS Lanarkshire require to purchase high fidelity manikins to enable the delivery of simulation based education programmes to undergraduate medical students, foundation trainees and substantive post clinicians. Our current manikins have been in use in excess of 6 years and are no longer fit for purpose. We are seeking to replace current equipment with the most appropriate manikin to meet our needs, to deliver immersive simulation courses within the medical education training centre and when required on site at Monklands, Hairmyres or Wishaw General Hospitals. In addition to the supply of manikins we require a 5 year maintenance contract which covers as a minimum: — annual servicing, — call outs, — automatic software updates. It is highly desirable to NHS Lanarkshire that equipment is installed by October 2018.
