Tender description
The contract is for the supply and installation of a living wall / vegetative barrier together with supporting infrastructure and a period of 5 years maintenance. Hereafter, this will be referred to as a ‘living wall’ but is to be considered as any form of vegetative screen or barrier. The primary aim of the living wall is to reduce people’s exposure to air pollution when using a school playground but the living wall must also provide aesthetic value, enhance biodiversity and offer potential for learning opportunities that fit with the school curriculum. The living wall will be installed along the boundary between Robin Hood Junior School and St Nicholas Way in Sutton, Surrey. The budget for this project is in the range of £40,000-£48,000.
