Provision of Kennelling of Stray Dogs

Tender description

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (the Council) is looking to procure a contract with a provider for the provision of kennelling for stray dogs, licensed under the Animal Boarding Establishments Act 1963, Animal Welfare (Licencing of Activities involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018, as part of its statutory duties under the above legislation. The contract will include the provision of kennelling facilities for all stray dogs found by the Dog Warden or a members of the public, plus an out of hours acceptance centre for stray dogs delivered by members of the public/Police/RSPCA etc. The awarded Provider shall provide suitable and sufficient accommodation and transport for such dogs in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement.
