(NU/1411) Telecoms and Data Works Measured Term Contract

Tender description

Newcastle University is looking to create a framework agreement for the provision of various telephone and data works, comprising of small building installations, refurbishments, repairs, maintenance and improvements on University premises. The services will involve all aspects of telephone and data installations/modifications (excluding BMS) typical of University buildings, such as but not limited to laboratories, small and complex lecture theatres, libraries, cafe and commercial kitchens, offices (individual and open plan), public areas, meeting rooms, conference rooms, accommodation, plant areas, etc. The works will vary in size, from the replacement of a single socket to the Installation of up to 30 Category 6 cables with the appropriate containment and connections. Please note: a double outlet is deemed as two cables and a single outlet as one cable. For larger, more bespoke works, where the Schedule of Rates is deemed inappropriate, all suitable contractors on the framework will be invited to submit quotes for that particular piece of work. Where applicable, details will be provided via a scope of works, usually with proposed drawings. Where designs are required, they will be provided by the University. All relevant works must be in compliance with the University's Telecommunications Cabling System Specification.
