Mini Competition for the Provision of Cabling Maintenance Services - AWARD

Tender description

Through this mini competition, the University is seeking to appoint a supplier who will provide a combination of planned and reactive general maintenance to the University's data network infrastructure. This will include (but is not limited to) Adds, moves and changes to structured data and fibre cabling and testing of same Testing and wiring, and all the necessary ancillary items, e.g. trunking, tray work, cable fixings, distribution points, sockets etc. Connections between new cabling Connections between existing cabling Patching of data circuits Diagnosing and rectifying faults. All cable systems, designs and installations must comply with the following standards BS 6701 Telecommunications equipment and telecommunications cabling. specification for installation, operation and maintenance BS 7671 Electrical cable Installations BS EN 50173 quality generic cabling systems BS EN 50174 installation and design. All new cabling must meet the new CCA Fire Rating Standards to BS 6701.
