Tender description

Market testing and feedback for potential integrated MSK CATS and physiotherapy service. The service will provide an integrated Musculoskeletal and physiotherapy service which is clinically safe, high quality, and cost effective providing advice, education and evidence based treatments for individuals aged 18 and over and is compliant with relevant NHS guidelines for the treatment of Musculoskeletal conditions. The scope of the service will include: — community Musculoskeletal Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service (CATS), — MSK community physiotherapy in multiple formats including face to face, telephone and group rehabilitation and education, — triage Hub for MSK, MSK related physiotherapy, rheumatology and trauma and orthopaedics linked to a local approach to referral support, — a requirement to work with secondary care providers to identify agreed pathways, — a requirement to work with the CCG and the wider system on future development of the service. It is the intention that formal procurement activities will commence in early 2019. NHS Wakefield CCG is keen to test the potential provider market for community MSK CATS and Physiotherapy.
