Tender description
Final call for competition. Applicants should read all the information carefully before applying. To see all the information and to apply use this link — https://procontract.due-north.com/Advert?advertId=1aca6177-52cd-e811-80ef-005056b64545 Bristol City Council is seeking experienced partners to provide accommodation and support in Bristol to homeless young people. Partners will provide and manage good quality accommodation and provide support to young people referred into the accommodation to help them recover from homelessness and move on to suitable accommodation or back home where it is safe to do so. Providers must have access to suitable accommodation (in 1-2 or even 3 units: these will need to be adequately staffed overnight), including relevant planning consent. This is a final call for competition. We are seeking providers to provide the following service(s): 1) Lot 1: accommodation for homeless young people, or those who are threatened with homelessness, with high support needs. We are seeking a high support housing project for young people at risk of homelessness to learn how to manage a tenancy and develop independent living skills. The contract will be to provide support to young people living in 25-30 units of accommodation. The supplier will be required to provide a building, but the accommodation costs will be paid by the service users by way of rent/housing benefit and service charges. Providers will need to have access to good quality accommodation suitable for the purpose, including relevant planning consent. We will be expecting detail on: (a) what resources your organisation might have access to, or how you would provide, housing solutions, for young people who are not able to be housed in larger supported accommodation environments and/or (b) what additional resources your organisation can offer, in order to meet the move on accommodation requirements of the wider client group. 2) Lot 2: accommodation for homeless young people, or those who are threatened with homelessness, with high and medium support needs. We are seeking a high and medium level supported housing project for young people at risk of homelessness to learn how to manage a tenancy and develop independent living skills. We will be expecting detail on: (a) what resources your organisation might have access to, or how you would provide, housing solutions, for young people who are not able to be housed in larger supported accommodation environments and/or (b) what additional resources your organisation can offer, in order to meet the move on accommodation requirements of the wider client group TUPE work of a similar nature is currently undertaken for the Council by an external provider at St Georges House and the foyer. The Council does not know and has no view as to whether TUPE may apply between the current provider of these similar services and any other person the Council may select to provide these services. Any potential provider will need to make their own enquiries and form their own view. Submitting expression of interest: Providers are required to indicate whether or not they want to provide the services. To do this please complete interest form and submit via ProContract no later than 12:00 noon on Friday 2.11.2018. The form includes a section to evidence the organisation's access to suitable accommodation where relevant. For more details please visit https://www.bristol.gov.uk/housing/commissioning-homelessness-prevention-services Following the deadline the Council will review responses and the number of robust and credible indications of interest received will help to inform our preferred procurement approach.
