SC18033 - Packing and Transportation Services and/or Storage Services for Tunbridge Wells Museum Collections

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council in partnership with Kent County Council and with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Arts Council England, is developing a new Museum service as part of the Cultural and Learning Hub development project. As part of this project, the entirety of the Museum collection must be temporarily relocated off-site to allow for building works to take place. These objects require packing and transportation from their existing location at Tunbridge Wells Museum & Art Gallery to a temporary storage facility for a minimum period of 30 months with a potential option to extend for 6 months. The Museum, on behalf of Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, looks after a diverse range of collections each with their own unique handling and transportation needs. The collections range from archaeology, social history, costume and textiles, taxidermy and natural history, and fine art. The Museum building itself is Grade II listed. Tenders are invited from suitably qualified and experienced providers who are interested in delivering the following packing and transportation and/or storage services. The Services are divided into two service packages (Lots) and bidders are invited to bid on either one single Lot i.e. Lot A: Packing and Transportation of objects or Lot B: Storage.
