RMBC invite providers and stakeholders to join us in our Domestic Abuse Service Review Event. Tuesday 27th November 09.00-12.00pm Rockingham Professional Development Centre, Rockingham, Roughwood Road, Rotherham S61 4HY Any opportunity to learn and understand the Rotherham picture, share best practice and make a valued contribution to the co-design of the future domestic abuse service model in Rotherham. Within Rotherham, the Council currently commissions specialist domestic abuse services delivered by the Voluntary Sector. It also delivers in-house Council services such as the Independent Domestic Violence Advocacy (IDVA) Service, and a housing based service that focuses on making sure Survivors and their families live in safe, secure properties. We also commission a perpetrator programme alongside other South Yorkshire Local Authorities. Improving domestic abuse services is a priority for the Council and we are undertaking a full review of Commissioned and in-house Domestic Abuse Services in Rotherham. Our review of services aims to make sure that we commission the right services that are provided in a joined up way and deliver good outcomes for people who are affected by domestic abuse, or who may wish to engage in services because they want to change their behaviour. To help with the service review we will also: • Talk with people and their families with consent who have experienced domestic abuse, to seek their views and opinions of their experience of domestic abuse services in Rotherham and their views and ideas on how we could improve. • Seek the views and options of the wider public There will be limited spaces available for this event so please RSVP to this invitation to secure your place.
