Tender description

To provide connections from the fixed house installation. The contractor will provide competent staff with appropriate qualifications, who will be based at MCCCL and will check and approve all client requirements regarding temporary services, (water, waste, electrical) providing the equipment to undertake the installation i.e., cables distribution boards and pipes and competently install and check the individual installations. The Contractor will also be responsible for all aspects of maintenance to the temporary equipment and maintain it to a standard approved by MCCCL. The contractor will ensure the ductwork covering floor slabs are located correctly and pose no health and safety risk. Charges for all aspects of the temporary installation will be made directly by the contractor to the client, based upon a MCCCL predetermined annual rate. The Contractor will pay an agreed commission to MCCCL calculated as a percentage of such Client sales. Manchester Central is currently looking for a contractor to provide these connections from the fixed house installation. The successful contractor will provide competent staff with appropriate qualifications, who will be based at Manchester Central and who will check and approve all the client’s requirements regarding temporary services, providing the equipment to undertake the installation i.e., cables distribution boards and pipes and competently install and check the individual installations. The contractor’s staff will also be responsible for all aspects of maintenance to the temporary equipment and maintain it to a standard approved by Manchester Central. It is the responsibility of the contractor to ensure the ductwork covering floor slabs are located correctly and pose no health and safety risk. Where temporary covers are used it is the contractors responsibility to ensure a suitable method is used and follows the MCCC standards for the area. (Appendix 3). A service level agreement must be followed for the contract as per Appendix 4. Charges for all aspects of the temporary installation will be made directly by the contractor to the client, based upon a Manchester Central predetermined annual rate. The contractor will then pay an agreed commission to Manchester Central calculated as a percentage of such client sales. It is a requirement that the successful bidder will provide all temporary equipment, which must be checked and certified, and all equipment used must be to relevant BS standard for temporary installations. All equipment must be of a high visual standard as it is usually on show. The successful bidder will throughout the period of the contract assess the equipment condition and replace when necessary. Manchester Central will assist in determining what is an acceptable condition.
