Tender description

Contract awarded: step up to social work programme — Delivery of Post Graduate Diploma in social work. Contract awarded: The South East Regional Partnership comprising Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Milton Keynes and Central Bedfordshire Councils, wished to let a contract to an appropriate education provider to deliver a professional social work qualifying course. The “Step Up to Social Work” programme is a 14 month Post Graduate Diploma and must be Health Care Professionals Council (‘HCPC’) validated, offering places for approximately 20 - 25 students starting in January 2020. The provider will be required to deliver these services to further cohorts during the contract period, subject to funding. The provider shall award the PGDip in Social Work to successful students. The programme will be demanding for students, but rewarding. Students will be high calibre graduates with an existing: 2:1 degree classification in any academic discipline, or 2:2 with additional qualifications at Masters level and with experience of working with children and families, seeking to re-train as social workers. The programme will enable students to build upon their existing knowledge and skills and develop the expertise required for entry to the social work profession. The contract start date is 1.11.2018. The contract period is six (6) years with the option for two (2) further extensions of 12 months each. Tenders were required to be returned via Buckinghamshire Business Portal by the tender return date of noon (12:00) 5.9.2018.
