Health in Justice Project

Tender description

The London Borough of Merton (LBM) has secured funding as part of a National Health in Justice project that aims to increase the co-collaboration of young people in the design and delivery of youth justice services that also meet the health needs of vulnerable young people. The wider project will involve the identification of Peer Leaders and Young Advisors, this will include a number of programmes that the young people will be supported to undertake as part of their development. The project will include the following elements for which we seek quotes: - Option A: Residential activity that allows the young people space to develop leadership and problem solving skills, understanding how their life experiences can influence policies and procedures in balance with understanding how they can achieve long-term aspirations and see this project as a stepping stone towards these. This is important due to the short term nature of this project. This is an opportunity for them to learn skills that can be transferred into employment or higher education. - Option B: Group work involving therapeutic approaches (this could be art, drama, occupational therapy activities) that increases their skills in peer listening and participation.
