Tender description

Islington Council invites suitable expressions of interest from suppliers for a framework agreement for the provision of Bin Sensors for the effective management of recycling and rubbish containers. The arrangement will be monitored against a range of outcome-based indicators which the provider will be expected to achieve. The details of these indicators will be included in the contract specification and the successful organization will need to demonstrate they have the capability and capacity to meet these requirements. This is a supplies and services contract. The goods and services will be required by Islington Council. The goods and services will comprise. — sensors, to be fitted in recycling and rubbish containers, — a cloud-based system capable of receiving and storing data from remote sensors, and of providing management information via a suitable customer interface via a web browser, — the ability to manage daily collection schedules informed by data collected from sensors, — the use of the system by drivers using mobile in-cab devices, — the ability to incorporate containers without sensors into the system scheduling functionality, — system backup, support, and development.
