Tender description

Tenders are invited for the supply of the Twilight Sports Peace IV Programme (referred to as the programme from this point onwards on this document) which aims to improve and build positive relations, reduce incidents of anti-social behaviour and hate crime within areas of high social need and beyond. 2. Background Mid and East Antrim Borough Council through its Sports Development Unit have been granted Peace IV funding under the Building Positive Relations theme to deliver a variety of sports lead projects for the promotion of positive relations characterised by respect and where cultural diversity is celebrated and people can live, learn and socialise together free from prejudice, hate and intolerance. 3. Scope of the Contract Council will through this tender process employ a suitable organisation to deliver the programme in partnership with local youth groups and organisations outside school time and/or curriculum based activities. The programme will undertake a street styled sports programme where participants will engage in weekly soccer sessions in conjunction with good relations workshops covering topics such as flags and emblems, territorial markings and cultural diversity.
