Tender description

The Russell Education Trust (RET); a not-for-profit charitable trust, operates 5 secondary schools including the schools to which this Tender Request refers to. RET schools enjoy an enviable reputation for high standards, based on good behavior and exceptional teaching. All RET schools open with a founding cohort of Years 7’s and each September another cohort is added until the school comprises years 7 - 11 secondary and years 12- 13 sixth form. Site m2: Will be issued with Tender Pack (x 5 blocks). Cleaning takes place between: – 06:30 am - 08:00 am Sports Hall and Lettings. – 03:30 pm - 10:00 pm Main Clean. Housekeeping working from 08:00 - 15:00. Full site details will be issued with the final tender pack. Site m2: – Building 4 = 2,510 – Building 5 = 3,300 Cleaning takes place between: – 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm. Full site details will be issued with the final tender pack. Building 5 on the North London Business Park will accommodate years 7, 8 & 9 from 1st September 2018 (450 students). The Trust has also acquired building 4 on the park to accommodate years 10, 11 & 12 from 1st September 2018 (220 Students). Both buildings will be included in the tender pricing and scoring. There are plans for a new purpose-built school which should be ready in 2020. Site m2: Will be issued with the Tender Pack (current building and new building). Cleaning takes place between: – 3:15 pm - 5:15 pm. Full site details will be issued with the final tender pack. Turing House in Queens Road will be the main site to be included in the tender process; site numbers will remain the same but existing students will move up by year group in September 2018, the site will, therefore, accommodate years 8, 9, 10. In September 2018 another site some three miles away will be used to accommodate the new year 7’s (around 125); this site will not be priced as part of the tender scoring but the Trust will seek indicative costs for a cleaning service in this building once more information is available. In September 2019 all students in both sites will move up one year group and the ‘other site’ will have a new year 7 intake, making a roll number of 250 (years 7 & 8). (Turing House will have the same roll number with years 9, 10 & 11). In September 2020 it is hoped that both sites will move into a purpose-built site accommodating a new year 7 and a 6 form with year 12.
