Tender description

Tenderers successfully appointed to this Framework will have the opportunity to support the key ESC programmes/projects and activities through the provision of specialist expertise and consulting services (with similar skill sets as detailed within the 7 Lots) in accordance with the requirements of the three programmes summarised below (but not limited to these projects). The ESC will appoint a number of suitable provider(s) to provide the “service” as briefly described in this document. Lot 1: Strategy, compliance and evolution. The skills required relate to the application of strategic knowledge and experience of the GB Energy Sector (incorporating power, heat and transport where applicable) in the knowledge areas outlined using existing evidence and novel research for analysis, evaluation and presentation of findings via written report and presentation. This work will help the ESC to advance sector thinking and support further solution development. Lot 2: Business analysis, modelling and support. The skills required relate to the application of market, business and financial knowledge to support the evaluation of solutions facilitating a market transition through new service offering. Lot 3: Market Transformation and Evolution (incorporating power, heat and transport where applicable). The skills required relate to the application of market knowledge and experience of the GB Energy Sector in the knowledge areas outlined using existing evidence and novel research for analysis, evaluation and presentation of solutions via written report and presentation. This work will help the ESC to advance sector thinking and support further solution development. Lot 4: Energy Systems Modelling, Design and Engineering (incorporating power, heat and transport where applicable). The skills required relate to the application of modelling, design and engineering experience in the GB Energy Sector in the knowledge areas outlined. This work will help the ESC to advance solutions development. Lot 5: Community Operation. The skills required relate to the provision of services to support the creation, operation and support of a broad set of communities whose members will be brought together to develop solutions to meet the challenges faced by the GB Energy Sector. This work will help the ESC to advance solutions development. Lot 6: Commercial arrangements for a shared ecosystem. The skills required relate to support the development of a shared ecosystem to support the design and testing of innovative new energy services. Including providing commercial, governance and legal expertise. Lot 7: Multi-disciplinary engineering services. The skills required relate to the provision of multi-disciplinary engineering expertise to support the scoping and concept design of energy system projects.
