Tender description

The purpose of this framework is to enable the Environment Agency and other named public bodies to meet their statutory duties to ensure that waste which has been illegally exported or shipments which cannot be completed in accordance with a consignment note or a contract are repatriated back to the UK within the statutory time scales. Requirement of the supplier to visit the country to which the waste has been exported and carry out preliminary inspection of the waste to ascertain its nature, composition, quality, and location and how it can be safely transported. Provision of suitable licensed and secure storage and inspection facilities throughout the UK. Provision of arrangements for recovery and/or disposal of waste arising from repatriation.
