Provision of Homecare Services 2019

North Tyneside Council and North Tyneside Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) together are responsible for the planning, commissioning and provision of a wide range of services to support adults in the Borough. The current “Supporting People To Live At Home” contract, or homecare contract, is jointly commissioned by NTC and NTC CCG. It supports Adult Social Care service users and those with NHS Continuing Health Care needs. Working in partnership with the CCG, the Council is seeking to procure a new Framework arrangement with a number of providers to support people to continue to live at home. The framework will relate to the care and support needs of all Service Users who require support to live at home and will include provision for those who live in their own home and in extra care schemes. The Service will aim to offer a mix of short term and long term interventions that enable a person to live an independent life, remain in their own home and fully engage in their community. By working in a person centred outcome focused manner, the ethos of the service will be to “do with” and not “do to”.
