****Please read the whole advert for details on where to download the tender documents****** Hambleton District Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified grounds maintenance company or organisation to undertake maintenance of the landscaped areas to facilities which are owned and/or are the responsibility of Hambleton District Council and are located in the Hambleton District administrative area. The landscaping works comprise maintenance to all flower, shrub and rose beds, hedge cutting, weeding (hand pulling and spraying) and arboricultural works ie. tree surgery and maintenance (tree inspection and removal) and advice, Japanese knotweed, ragwort. The Hambleton District administrative area is located in North Yorkshire, and stretches from Great Ayton on its northern boundary; its eastern edge is demarked by the Cleveland and Howardian Hills. Its southern boundary borders the City of York and its western boundary is to the west of Bedale. The works will be undertaken to facilities which include Offices, Leisure Centres, off-street car parks, Public Open Spaces and Closed Churchyards. The initial contract duration is three years commencing on 1st April 2018 and completing on 31st March 2021 with the option to extend the agreement by 12 or 24 months, with a potential completion date of 31st March 2023. The contract will be awarded on a price/quality split; tenderers will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience, knowledge and skills in the areas of the planned and ad-hoc services, appropriate and valid industry accreditations, provide appropriate health and safety information and references.
