Who Speclialist Work With The specialist will report to the Borders Head of Architecture and will work closely with a variety of in-flight projects and programmes across the estate. What Specialists Work On The Identity Management Architect will report ot the Borders head of Architecture and will assist with: 1) Setting technical strattegy, directions and standards for Identity Management and Workflow Solutions 2) Ensuring that the standards are adhered to 3) Supporting projects to deliver Identity Management solutions Where the Work Takes Place The specialist will be predominantly based at Home Office premises at Lunar House, Croydon, CR9 2BY, but may be required to attend Marsham Street, London, SW1; and MetroPoint , Croydon; Surrey; or other locations as necessary. Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements The specialist is expected to alongside existing delivery teams focussed on specific outcomes. The specialist will conform to prevailing Home Office rules & procedures. The specialist requires being physically on site Monday – Friday. Approximate hours are 08:00 – 18:00. Expenses will conform to Home Office internal policies and will not be payable within the M25. Work Location The specialist will be predominantly based at Home Office premises at Lunar House, Croydon, CR9 2BY, but may be required to attend Marsham Street, London, SW1; and MetroPoint , Croydon; Surrey; or other locations as necessary. Security Clearance Security clearance of Security Check (SC) is required. Additional T&Cs This role is deemed to be outside the scope of IR35 of the Intermediaries legislation. Candidates may be working towards obtaining SC clearance and must possess this by the latest start date. The HO may support the candidate with this process, but this must be in place by employment commencement. Candidates with DV Clearance have already undergone SC level checks will also be considered. Skills & Experience Experience of setting technical strategy, direction and standards for Identity Management and Workflow solutions across technology projects and help shape the broader corporate approach (10%) Experience managing the adherence of Identity Management Standards across a wide portfolio of projects and programmes, including maturity assessments of Identity Management capability and support business case for improving capability(10%) Significant Security/IDAM architectural, design, technical leadership, development and problem-solving experience (5%) Knowledge of UK Borders systems landscape and Security/Idenitity Management requirements (5%) Experience of design of high quality, maintainable Identity Management software solutions, meeting Non-functional, hosting and security requirements (5%) Demonstrate deep knowledge and experience of web based service interfaces used in an Identity Management context (5%) Experience with Identity Management and Role Management including experience with Active Directory, OpenID Connect, and Spring Security. (5%) Knowledge and experience of build and deploy in Cloud (AWS) platform with microservices, containers and open source DevOps tool-sets (5%) Nice to Haves Experience and knowledge of access technologies used in data layer related to Postgres, Apache Camel, Knox, Ranger and Drools (5%) Experience of Red Hat SSO / Keycloak (3%) Experience of HO's ACP and DevOps Patterns and Enterprise Integration Patterns (2%) No. of Specialists to Evaluate 3 Cultural Fit Criteria Ability to work under pressure and prioritise a very varied work schedule Understanding of working across a broad geographical area and different functional departments with competing priorities Work closely with colleagues and be transparent and collaborative in all communications Be respectful and work with integrity and flexibility.
