Tender description

Blackpool Council and Blackpool Clinical Commissioning Group (BCCG) wish to provide an opportunity for providers in the market to participate in consultation to help inform a tender exercise for care at home in Blackpool. Blackpool Council and BCCG are committed to re-commissioning care at home to create a single contract to meet the need for health and social care across adults and children. The aim of the consultation is to help inform a new contract for Blackpool, by understanding how it can be effectively structured and provided through consideration of: 1). The scope of the care at home tender, to include: (a) Care at home for adults (including older people, mental health, physical disability and continuing healthcare); (b) Supported housing care at home (includes mental health and physical disability); (c) Children's care at home. 2). An effective procurement approach, to include: (a) Zonal boundaries; (b) Structure of lots. 3). The quality standards for the new contract, to include: (a) Monitoring approaches; (b) Expectations of delivery; (c) Social Value; (d) Ethical Care Charter.
