Tender description
To deliver a range of accredited vocational courses and other accredited courses, including core GCSEs which will be offered according to assessed student potential. To link all accredited vocational course to clear progression routes so that learners have a Pathway into post-16 opportunities that includes education, employment or training. To ensure learners have sufficient grasp of key (or functional) skills in English and Maths to ensure their effective participation in the world of work or FE as appropriate. To ensure that learners develop skills for life and citizenship skills. To engage learners in a range of extra-curricular opportunities to improve their participation in positive activities. To ensure that the learners make good progress and achieve well. Provision will differ from learner to learner, but there are some common elements that programme should aim to achieve, including: Good academic attainment – particularly in English and maths. Vocational in-fill Pathway. (students attend lessons with Post 16 students). Components of Lot A: — GCSE’s English, maths. or — functional skills English, maths, ICT, — variety of vocational options, — personal and social development (PSD), — employability, enrichment and learner voice. Discrete vocational Pathway. Components of Lot B. (group of 12 Year 10 -11 students). — GCSE’s English, maths. or — functional skills English, maths, ICT. — variety of vocational options. — personal and social development (PSD). — employability, enrichment and learner voice. Components of Lot C: — a choice of at least 5 GCSE’s, — personal and social development (PSD), — employability, enrichment and learner voice. GCSE Pathway with a Vocational subject. Components of Lot D: — GCSE’s English, maths, — variety of vocational options, — personal and social development (PSD), — employability, enrichment and learner voice. Creative Arts Pathway. Components of Lot E. — GCSE’s English, maths. or — functional skills English, maths, ICT, — vocational Pathway in one or more of the following: art, media, music, drama or performing arts, — personal and social development (PSD), — employability, enrichment and learner voice.
