Tender description

NHSBT intends to exercise the option to extend NHSBT0329 – Microbiology testing managed service contract in accordance with Clause 12.2 of Schedule 2 of the contract (as issued in the original ITT). The contract will be extended by 3 years meaning that the total length of the contract will be 10 years. The contract will now end on 14 December 2022. There is no change to the original contract terms and conditions and the object of the contract is still the same and is repeated below. NHSBT requires a fully integrated microbiology testing system including all the mandatory and discretionary microbiology testing within a managed service. This includes the assays, instrumentation and data management software to deliver a final result to the Authority’s information management system(s). This VEAT has been issued to ensure that the marketplace is fully informed of our intentions regarding microbiology testing. Abbott Diagnostics UK will be the supplier for this contract until 14 December 2022. Note - all values in this notice relate to the three extension period only.
