Tender description

Manchester Airports Group (MAG) is planning to run a competitive tender process for the requirement of the supply of Anti Icer & De Icer products across all of the groups airports: — Manchester Airport, — Stansted Airport, — East Midlands Airport. The products procured will be used air-side at each airport for runways, taxiways, walkways and aircraft stands. The overall objective is to appoint one supplier to supply MAG with the required products under a contract with an anticipated term of 3 years with the option of a 2-year extension. The supply of Anti Icer & De Icer products to MAG is of a critical nature to the operation of the Airports. It is therefore crucial for MAG to appoint a supplier who can fulfil the need to the required standards. Products to be supplied: Non Glycol based Runway and Taxiway liquid anti-icing agent – SAE AMS1435. Non Glycol based Runway and Taxiway solid anti-icing agent – SAE AMS1431. A Glycol based Runway and Taxiway liquid anti-icing agent – SAE AMS1435. The products procured will be used air side on the runways, taxi ways, walk ways, and aircraft stands during the winter months. The amount of product/s sourced will depend entirely on the weather conditions each year. The aim is to appoint a supplier under a contract with an anticipated term of 3 years with an extension option of a further 2 years. There will be service level agreements included in the contract which will be monitored on a regular basis to ensure delivery timescales are met.
