Irish Rail (IÉ) invites applications from suitably qualified companies to participate in the pre-qualification process to award a contract for the supply and delivery of insulated dry block joint kits for delivery to Portlaoise Depot. This will be a fixed price contract valid for 3 years with the option to extend annually for up to a maximum of 2 additional years. Average annual requirement estimated at; 130 No. 4 Hole Kits and 10 No. 6 Hole Kits. A Pre-qualification questionnaire is attached to this notice and must be completed and returned as directed and include all required support documentation. Insulated dry block joint specification: 4 hole CEN54/56E1 Insulated dry joint kit details; — 2 x Fishplates, — 2 x Washer plates plain, 2 x Washer plates lipped, — 4 x Fishbolts and nuts, — 1 x Endpost, — Holes c/c 126,6 mm, 380,6 mm. 6 hole CEN54/56E1 Insulated dry joint kit details; — 2 x Fishplates, — 2 x Washer plates plain, 2 x Washer plates lipped, — 6 x Fishbolts and nuts, — 1 x Endpost, — Clip recess @ 584 mm, — Holes c/c 126,6 mm, 380,6 mm, 786,6 mm. Note: 1) Proposed plates must have certificate of acceptance for use in European high speed main line rail applications (for use in continuously welded rail); 2) Only steel/steel core type plates will be considered; 3) Proposed plates must have inspection window for resistance testing.
