Pre-Conceptual Care - Review and Insight Work

Sandwell Public Health is looking to commission an external agency to help improve awareness of the importance of Pre-Conceptual Care before choosing to start a family. We are aware that the Tommy's Pre-conception 'Are You Ready' Campaign has recently been launched, which we plan to promote widely across the borough but would like to seek the views of people that this campaign may not reach. There has been increasing recognition that achieving a healthy pregnancy outcome is strongly influenced by a woman's health status, lifestyle and history prior to conception. The development of pre-conception care that promotes health and prevents disease in women of reproductive age is also important to improve health outcomes.
