Tender description

Cardiff Council wishes to commission a range of accommodation and support services for young people. Services that will be commissioned include emergency and hostel accommodation, move on floating support and variety of supported accommodation. A range of supported accommodation will be required to meet a range of needs in a stable and supportive environment where young people are able to address their underlying issues. It is intended that the services will provide support at the right level for the individual and is responsive to changing needs. Services will focus on ensuring Young people are fully prepared for Independent Living and are supported to move on when the time is right, with a strong emphasis placed on education, training and employment. Both services will mainly comprise of supported accommodation however, each will include floating support provision to assist young people with their move on to independence. Service 1 will provide: — emergency accommodation and hostels, — lower level supported accommodation schemes, — floating support to move on, — ongoing contact and support. Both services will deliver accommodation and support services for vulnerable and challenging young people. Both services will also include mediation with families to encourage a return home wherever appropriate Both lots will mainly comprise of supported accommodation however, each will include floating support provision to assist young people with their move on to independence. Service 2 will provide: — smaller more intensive supported accommodation schemes, — floating support to move on, — ongoing contact and support. Both services will deliver accommodation and support services for vulnerable and challenging young people. Both services will also include mediation with families to encourage a return home wherever appropriate
