Feasibility study on the provision of a Regional Sports Facility for County Cavan

Tenders are required to quote for the preparation of a feasibility study on the following: 1. How best to provide for the present and future facilities requirements of Cavan and the surrounding region across a range of sports including, but not limited to, swimming, soccer, athletics and other field and minority sports; and 2. The future development of Cavan Sports and Leisure Complex as a regional sporting hub providing for the needs of Cavan and the surrounding region. The aim of the feasibility study is to establish the need for major sporting facilities in Cavan, to prioritise future development, to understand the funding requirements, land requirements and possibilities and to develop draft plans for the proposed developments. This study will make recommendations regarding the type, location and operational model, likely cost and potential funding sources and likely partners for any such facilities identified as being required. A further aim of the feasibility study is to examine the current operations of Cavan Sports and Leisure Complex and make recommendations of the future expansion of the complex (in terms of opportunities and services to be offered), having cognisance of the aims, objectives and ethos of the company. A critical element of the study will be to examine how any future facility would operate in synergy with Cavan Sports and Leisure Complex.
