Tender description
The Environment Agency is leading a Trailblazer group, developing a new apprenticeship standard 'Water Environment Worker'. We are working towards our submission to be fully approved by the Institute for Apprenticeships over the next few months. Overall, we expect around 200 apprentices a year to be recruited and around 100 of these will be employed by the Environment Agency. They will be located at depots across all areas of England. We are looking for a training provider who can provide either: - National coverage for all of the above - National coverage for the majority of the above, and able to sub contract to fulfil the total requirement - National coverage on area basis (for example, managing a consortium of local providers) National coverage means all counties of England, from the Scottish borders to South west Cornwall. Training providers must be approved to deliver apprenticeships either as a Main Provider, or as a Supporting Provider (sub contractors) by applying to the register of apprenticeship training providers (RoATP). We will be running a webex (insert details) for interested training providers on 1st November. Please register your interest with us and we will send the call details to you. The Water Environment Worker will be a Level 3 apprenticeship which will take 18 months to complete. It will be used by organisations with a responsibility to manage the impact of water environments, natural or manmade, on the land and surrounding businesses and homes. The water environment includes rivers, coasts (the sea), lakes, wetlands, canals and reservoirs.
