Tender description
Stoke-on-Trent City Council wishes to appoint a suitable provider for a Direct Payments Support Service for both Adults and Children's Services. Adult’s services - The service provider will be required to support people to manage Direct Payments given to individuals by the Local Authority, to ensure the individual is confident in the care being provided and confident in managing the finance element of Direct Payments. Encouraging empowerment and independence. Childrens services - The service provider will be required to provide a support and advocacy service to all children and young people up to the age of 18 and their parents/carers who access Direct Payments who are assessed as eligible via the Children with Disabilities Social Care Team. The service provider will also support children and young people and their parents with a seamless transition of Direct Payments support (should the need still be there via assessment) from children’s service to adult services.
