Tender description

The Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) Underwater Electronic Warfare (UEW) Delivery Team (DT) is considering a 10 year in service support contract including spares availability and technology refresh on some of the equipments for Miscellaneous Sonar Equipment (MSE). Expected start date would be April 2021. The total value of the contract is expected to range from 20 000 000 GBP — 28 000 000 GBP. MSE includes Echo Sounders, Underwater Telephones, Towed Noise Sources, and some additional Minor Sonars. The portfolio includes safety related sonars. The detailed technical information and support requirement will be released with the tender documents and will be classified as Official – Sensitive. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) has been issued in order to better understand the market, the Authority is inviting interested parties to provide details on their capabilities in this field. This PIN is not a means to seek formal expressions of interest; that opportunity may become available when the UEW DT has an improved understanding of the market.
