Repair, maintenance and associated services of vehicles and related equipment

Tender description

Hertfordshire County Council (the ‘Council’) is currently out to procurement for the provision of Maintenance of Commercial Vehicles. Further information in regards to this opportunity can be found in II.2.4) Description of the procurement field. Organisations wishing to take part in this project are invited to "express interest" which will give access to the full procurement documents in the e-tendering system. Please see VI.3) Additional information for further information. Any questions relating to this procurement must be made via the correspondence area in the e-Tendering system, in accordance with the procurement documents and can be addressed to the main contact as shown in the details above. Hertfordshire County Council has a requirement for Provision of Maintenance of Commercial Vehicles. In addition to the Services required to be provided to the Council, the following Other Bodies may make a request to the Council to receive the Services, in accordance with the provisions of the Specification. Other Bodies listed in this Notice are provided for information only and for the avoidance of doubt may or may not order Services at the start, or any time during the Contract Period. Hertfordshire Police, Hertfordshire Catering Limited, Herts for Living Limited, Herts at Home Limited, Herts Full Stop Limited, Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership, any other future trading arm, wholly owned company, mutual, joint venture, trust and shared service of the Council. Please note: On 6.9.2018 David Lloyd, the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Hertfordshire suspended his business case for taking over the governance of HFRS, thus mitigating the likelihood HFRS requirements could be removed from this Contract during the Contract Period. The estimated total value of the procurement is stated in II.1.5) of this notice and is for the initial term inclusive of the approximate value for extensions. For the avoidance of doubt, the estimated annual value of the contract will be between 1 454 000 to 2 182 000 GBP. The Contract will be awarded for an initial term of 5 (five) years 7 (seven) months, with the option to extend the Contract for a further period or periods of up to a total of 5 (five) further years. The Contract shall come into existence on 15.1.2019, unless HCC at its sole discretion directs that Mobilisation Services are not applicable, in such case the Contract shall come into existence on the Services Commencement Date 25.5.2019. For the avoidance of doubt, the Contractor shall not be entitled to any payment from HCC in respect of the Mobilisation Services. Please note that the contract requirements will be subject to available financial resources, supplier performance and flexibility to meet changing demands. Organisations should be aware that due to the nature of the Services provided, any Contract formed as a result of this procurement process shall be executed as a deed.
