Tender description

Service Requirement – Mechanical Maintenance of Resolution Fleet. United Utilities Water Limited (UU) operates a fleet of 76 Mercedes Atego ‘Resolution’ HGV vehicles and is currently reviewing its preventative maintenance and fix-on-fail requirements for mechanical and chassis (but not including accident repair of bodywork) and is keen to understand what potential supply chain options are available. The requirement includes scheduled servicing and MOTs (as per an agreed service schedule), and fix-on-fail requirements as required. UU is looking for a provider or providers who are a Mercedes approved repair centre and can service the whole of UU’s network area, as far North as Carlisle, and as far South as Crewe. UU operates 76 vehicles, — all Mercedes Atego. 2011 — 2018 registrations comprising 29 x Atego 1022, 43 x Atego 1323 and 4 x Atego 1324. The vehicles have been modified in the cab and have sucking and jetting equipment on the back. Any supplier will need to work around such modifications. The requirement is for mechanical and chassis servicing and maintenance (but not including accident repair). Planned services and MOTs will need to be scheduled as agreed between any supplier and UU and a reactive fix-on-fail service provided. The supplier should be a Mercedes approved service and repair centre and will need to work using a ticketing system, and provide the services at fixed intervals. For scheduled works, the expectation is for the supplier to collect the vehicle, carry out the works and return within an agreed timescale, targeting no more than 48 hours. The expectation for scheduled servicing and MOT is for the works to be carried out outside standard working hours (Working hours meaning 8:00 am — 4:00 pm Monday to Friday). Reactive works are to be carried out as requested. UU is looking to include emergency call out and breakdown recovery. Records of all works carried out are to be complied and made available on request. UU expects any supplier to provide spend reports and management information on request. Vehicles are stationed at 8 locations across the North West – Carlisle, Kendal, Blackburn, Rochdale, Manchester, Stockport, Liverpool, Ellesmere Port. The supplier will need to able to service these areas.
