Regional Adoption Agencies Programme Adviser

Tender description

This contract is to support the delivery and ongoing development of Regional Adoption Agencies (RAAs) in the capacity of a professional adviser, and to serve as an adviser to the Department on practice and leadership in the adoption system. The primary role of the adviser will be to lead, facilitate and set the strategic direction of the RAA Leaders Group. The adviser will be expected to advise and report to Ministers as required, and to share the experience and insight from operational RAAs across the wider system, particularly RAA projects in development. This may extend to utilising other forums, such as the Adoption and Special Guardianship Leadership Board, to share best practice as widely as possible, and identifying how adoption and special guardianship orders are best placed within the wider framework of permanence options and children's social care.
