Tender description

Jisc Services Ltd was seeking to establish a multi-supplier framework agreement for the provision of subscription-based online law and legal resources. The provision will be offered to the Jisc community via Jisc Collections. Jisc Collections worked with the British and Irish Association of Law Librarians (BIALL) to represent their interests and to offer the resources to higher education institutions represented by BIALL. Bidders were invited to submit proposals for online resources covering the following whether in the form of aggregated resources containing other resources, hosting via third party or self-published/produced. Full text primary legal information including statutes, statutory Instruments and law reports. Coverage may include domestic, international or European law. Content should be relevant to UK and Irish institutions. This framework will be available to higher education institutions and affiliate members. Full text aggregated journal collections or individual titles covering general and specific areas of law, with articles and case commentary. Content should be relevant to UK and Irish institutions. Textbooks, scholarly monographs, or edited collections covering domestic, international or European law. This may include textbooks written by academics for students, reference books for practitioners and casebooks giving summaries of cases on particular subjects. Content should be relevant to UK and Irish institutions. This framework will be available to higher education institutions and affiliate members. Bidders were invited to submit proposals for online resources covering the following whether in the form of aggregated resources containing other resources, hosting via 3rd party or self-published/produced. Full text aggregated database collections which may include, primary resources - legislation, case law and official publications, Journals, e-books and full text legal encyclopaedias, parliamentary and non parliamentary documents. Coverage may include domestic, international or European law. Indexing services may include, but not limited to; subject, case, legislation and book review indexes. Journal style databases that deliver news content, insights and analysis to the UK and Irish legal industry. Content should be relevant to UK and Irish institutions. This framework will be available to higher education institutions and affiliate members.
