Tender description

Invitation to providers for Sussex TCP market engagement event on 11.10.2018 v1.1 Sussex Transforming Care Partnership is inviting providers to participate in early market engagement to discuss approaches to developing supported accommodation for adults with a learning disability or autism or both, who have challenging behaviour. The services will be for people who are being discharged from inpatient hospitals, or who require skilled support in the community to prevent admission, and will focus on the following 3 priority groups: — people with high functioning autism, who have mental health needs and may pose a risk to themselves or others, — people who have a learning disability and forensic needs, — people who have a learning disability and whose behaviour is extremely challenging Interested organisations are invited to a market engagement event being held from 1:15 pm to 4:30 pm on Thursday 11th October in the Auditorium, Brighthelm, North Road, Brighton, BN11YD. Please register your interest by responding to the email outlined below, and note that depending on the scale of response, places may be restricted to one person per organisation. Providers of support with limited experience of supporting people who have a learning disability or autism and behaviour that poses a significant challenge are unlikely to find this event relevant. The Transforming Care Partnership in Sussex is seeking provider input to help to shape approaches to developing the supported accommodation services required. The engagement event will also provide the market with an overview of the scale and type of complex needs we are planning to meet over coming months and years, across Sussex. In Sussex, the Transforming Care Partnership brings together East Sussex County Council, West Sussex County Council, Brighton and Hove Council, East Sussex Clinical Commissioning Groups and West Sussex Clinical Commissioning Groups. The partners recognise that to meet the needs of the small number of people with the most complex needs, it will be necessary to work together to secure appropriate services. This notice is part of an information gathering and engagement exercise rather than a call for competition in its own right and any potential procurement process is to be determined, with a broad range of options under consideration.
