Tender description

Gruggies burn flood alleviation project. West Dunbartonshire Council is looking to procure a flood risk prevention scheme for Gruggies Burn Dumbarton. Aims are to reduce the risk of flooding from the River Leven and Firth of Clyde to residential properties, non-residential properties, community facilities and transport routes in Dumbarton East. Design work is currently being undertaken to refine the preferred options for the scheme which at present include the construction of defences in Dumbarton East and downstream of Castlegreen St to address coastal flooding, also the potential for a bypass culvert from East End Park to the River Clyde. It is anticipated that works will begin on site early 2020 with completion 2022.
