Fleet management, repair and maintenance services

Tender description

United Utilities Water Limited (UU) has a requirement for a supplier which will manage requests for repair in the event of an accident and facilitate the damaged vehicle to be repaired. The requirement could be for any of UU’s fleet of 200 HGVs and 1350 LCVs. The area required to be serviced is the North West of England (Cumbria, Lancashire, Cheshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester). The supplier will arrange collection of the damaged vehicle, take it to the repair centre who will carry out the works, repair the vehicle, and then return it to the customer. If the vehicle is beyond economic repair, they will arrange for its disposal. The supplier will offer an estimate on the cost of the repair prior to the repair being undertaken. Repairs should be undertaken in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and repair quality should be in accordance with Thatcham’s recommended repair processes.
