Wheelchair Service in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough

NEL on behalf of NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver a Wheelchairs service to the population serviced by the CCG. The Authority is seeking to procure an integrated wheelchair service for people of all ages who have a long-term need for mobility assistance in the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG area (Annex N - CCG map). The priority for this service is to ensure those with complex, long-term conditions, are able to access the right wheelchair, quickly and with appropriate information and support. The full service will cover: • Assessment & prescribing • Supply and provision of powered and non-powered chairs • Delivery and Collection • Repairs and General Maintenance • Re-Use/Recycling, Cleaning and Decontamination and Planned Preventative Maintenance • Rehabilitation Engineering Services • Specialist Seating (risers) including cushions and accessories. A lead provider will be fully accountable for the delivery of the whole service. The contract value for the term is £9,024,000 inclusive of VAT. The deadline for receipt of bid submissions is 12.00 noon on 15th October 2018.
