Tender description
NHSBT wishes to consult the market to improve knowledge of all Sterile Connection Devices available and identify market interest. The devices must be suitable for blood component processing e.g. connection of additional packs and filters to primary blood collection systems, connection of buffy coats; produce blood components that satisfy current/future guidelines; connect tubing from all blood pack systems supplied to the Authority. Interested organisations are required to express their interest to jess.allen@nhsbt.nhs.uk by 17:00 (GMT) on 1.10.2018 including a brief overview/link to what might be offered to meet the requirements above. If you do not respond by this date you aren’t excluded from taking part in the forthcoming tender, this date is to allow for supplier engagement to be organised (Oct/Nov 2018). The draft technical specification, award criteria, timescales etc. may be released, for consultation purposes only, to organisations who express an interest. The Sterile Connection Devices must be suitable for blood component processing e.g. connection of additional packs and filters to primary blood collection systems, connection of buffy coats; produce blood components that satisfy current/future guidelines; connect tubing from all blood pack systems supplied to the Authority. The devices will require maintenance during the lifetime of their use. The devices may also require consumables dependent on their specification/manufacturers instructions of use.
