Tender description
Accommodation Based Respite Support for Adults (and children 16+ in transition to adulthood) with a learning disability and/or autism who may display behaviour that challenges, including those with a mental health condition and/or a physical disability. Cheshire East Council are seeking 2 residential beds to serve the North of the Borough and 2 residential beds to serve Crewe/Nantwich (South of the Borough). Note — the participation and process for this tender will be via the electronic tendering portal located at www.the-chest.org.uk. Please ensure you also refer to section VI.3 of this notice. This lot is for 1 residential bed, which should be located within the Borough to serve Crewe, Nantwich and surrounding area. Provision should be available for lots 1-2 from 1.12.2018 for an initial 3 years until 30.11.2021, with 2 x 12 month options to extend, therefore options maybe taken up for the period 1.12.2021 to 30.11.2023). The options will be exercised at the discretion of the Council. The provision must be suitable for clients with complex needs. The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SME’s). For the avoidance of doubt, the contracting authority points out that no weight will be attached to whether or not an economic operator is an SME in selecting economic operators to submit tenders or in assessing the most economically advantageous tender.
