Tender description

As part of a wider programme of work to improve the energy performance of owner occupier properties, as set out in the Call for Evidence on “Building a market for energy efficiency”, BEIS is seeking to launch pilots to test approaches in 5 different geographic regions for increasing the rates of energy efficiency improvements in non-fuel poor homes by providing support for local supply chain integration and project coordination. The funding awarded by BEIS would be used over 6 months, with the option to extend this with for a further 2 years, to develop a sustainable model for driving retrofit in a local area. Contractors should seek to address the non-financial barriers to retrofit such as trust, hassle factor and lack of awareness. In the first 6 months, up to 190 000 GBP per organisation will be available. If the project is extended to subsequent years, up to 367 500 GBP could be available per year per organisation.
