Tender description

The Services entail the separate haulage of approximately 3 000 tonnes per annum of garden waste and 14 000 tonnes per annum of residual waste from Mid-Devon District Council's waste transfer facility in Tiverton and their delivery to their disposal points as identified in the specification. 1) Mid-Devon District Council collects approximately 3 000 tonnes per annum of Garden Waste, which isstockpiled at their waste transfer facility at Hitchcocks Business Park, Willand (WCP). From 21.12.2018, this waste stream will require haulage to its Garden Waste Disposal Point at DWMLHoldings limited, Coastal Organics Compost Facility, Hill Barton Business Park, Clyst St Mary, Exeter, Devon,EX5 1DR (GWDP). 2) The District Council also collects around 14000 tonnes per annum of Residual Waste which is stockpiledseparately at the WCP. 2.1 Subject to 2.2 below, the Contractor will be expected to haul approximately 10 000 tonnes per annum of Residual Waste from Hitchcocks Business Park, Willand (WCP), to Exeter’s Residual Waste Delivery Point(Exeter’s RWDP) as identified in the Specification. The Contractor will also be expected to haul approximately 4 000 tonnes of Residual Waste from Hitchcocks Business Park, Willand (WCP), to Plymouth’s RWDP as identified in the Specification. 2.2) In the event that Exeter’s RWDP referred to in 2.1 above undergoes periods of maintenance, breakdown or is unable to receive Residual Waste for other reasons, then the Contractor will be instructed by DCC to deliver all Residual Waste from Hitchcocks Business Park to Plymouth’s RWDP. The services requirements are not divide into lots because of the relatively small scope of the contract.
