Tender description

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS)is a commissioning support service hosted by NHS England and is managing this procurement process for and on behalf of NHS England North. NHS England North are accountable for the provision of orthodontic services and are proposing to procure these services in a phased approach, anticipated from mid-September 2018. The geographical areas over which lots will be spread are: — Yorkshire and the Humber; — Cumbria and North East; — Cheshire and Merseyside; — Lancashire and South Cumbria; and — Greater Manchester. The exact location of the lots will be provided via Proactis prior to call for competition. This procurement is for the provision of specialist led primary care orthodontic services across the following North of England geographical areas: — Yorkshire and the Humber; — Cumbria and North East; — Cheshire and Merseyside; — Lancashire and South Cumbria; and — Greater Manchester. A call for competition will take place for specific locations within each of these geographical areas. These call for competitions will be spread over phases, anticipated from mid-September. Details of the specific locations will be provided via Proactis prior to call for competition. Please note that the call for competitions for Greater Manchester will not form part of this phased approach but will be undertaken separately at a later date to be confirmed. The call for competition will only be open to those organisations who have successfully applied and been accepted onto the Pseudo Dynamic Purchasing System (PDPS) — North Orthodontic Services. Invitations to participate in the call for competitions will be issued to these organisations via the e-tendering portal, Proactis.
