Tender description
Platelet Storage Equipment is used to store platelet components under agitation at a controlled temperature of 20oC to 24oC within Authority premises. The devices currently used are Helmer and will require maintenance over the duration of the agreement. A full list of the Requirements is contained within the Invitation to Tender. The Authority is inviting Tender Responses for the Maintenance of the existing Helmer PSE over a period of 4 years, from the commencement date, with the option to extend for a further 4-year period. NHS Blood & Transplant (NHSBT) and Participating Authorities use PSE to store platelet components under agitation at a controlled temperature of 20oC to 24oC within Authority premises. These devices require maintenance, full details of requirements are listed in the ITT and Technical Specification.
