Tender description

This Concession is for Battery Storage Development adjacent to Morrison Busty Annfield Plan. Durham County Council are looking to enter into a land lease arrangement to enable a battery storage development at Annfield Plain (Location NZ176507), the site is near the Morrison Busty depot, close to a Northern Powergrid substation (approx. 400m to the North east), access to the site is through the Council’s Morrison Busty Depot. It is expected that the developer would install appropriate perimeter fencing and CCTV Security Systems. There are access tracks to the site, although improvements works will be required should the development go forward. It is anticipated that the lease arrangement will be 25 years with break clauses. The successful bidder will be required to pay for the necessary NPG connection costs, get all planning permissions, paying for ecology, maintain the battery units and landscaping around the boundary of the site, and pay a land rental back to the Council.
