WYCC values the relationship and support for collaborative working, and wants to invite applications from organisations that are committed to working in partnership to deliver quality training which meets the Leeds City Region skills agenda. To meet the aim of building and strengthening a skilled workforce, WYCC are seeking partners to deliver a programme of Action Research Demonstrator projects that will contribute to addressing some of the major challenges and barriers faced by employed adults in low-paid employment across the Leeds City Region . Barriers include, but are not limited to financial and job insecurity, in-work poverty, poor progression rates and limited take up of training and development opportunities. Through this commission, WYCC seeks to procure the delivery of a number of pilot projects which seek to expose and address these and other barriers faced by employed adults in low-paid employment that present a major obstacle to labour market progression.
