Tender description

TWI Technology Centre (Wales) is actively involved in the development and validation of FMC burden of quality assurance of components with challenging geometries. In order to achieve this, three state-of-the-art, advanced portable ultrasonic array controller instruments to form the core of portable FMC ultrasonic testing and procedures development are required. The hardware must facilitate the application of the most recent developments in phased array technology and allow the FMC testing of complex and challenging geometries and components. This specification has been produced as part of an initiative known as AEMRI (Advanced Engineering Materials Research Institute), which is funded by the Welsh European Funding Office (WEFO) using European Regional Development Funds (ERDF).
