Tender description

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who are seeking to establish a contract for the provision of a Tertiary services strategic plan. The Health Board is seeking support to develop the Tertiary services strategic plan with the following content: — overarching strategic vision for the UHB’s tertiary services, — development of a framework to enable the UHB to assess the current state of services from a financial, operational, patient outcome and staff viewpoint, — SWOT analysis, — assessment of the ‘market position’ of the services, — horizon scanning (5-10 years), including future trend analysis and consideration of Royal College guidelines and/or standards for relevant services, — priorities and ambitions for the services, — measurable outcomes for the services; and — critical success factors for delivery of the strategic vision. The outputs will be produced in collaboration with clinicians at the Health Board and we anticipate that this work will take 3 months to deliver.
