Roller-type shutters

Tender description

Norfolk County Council is looking to appoint a single supplier to carry out inspections and servicing to its roller shutter doors systems and associated installations as per manufacturer instructions and relevant BS EN Standards. The contract is expected to run for 4 years and will comprise all inspections, labour, materials, tools and testing required in carrying out the maintenance works in full. The works generally comprise of cyclical and response maintenance tasks for roller shutter equipment systems at properties located within the County of Norfolk. The Contractor must provide a full time (365/24/7) call out facility. The response time expected in each case are: (a) emergency: 4 hours immediate response required; (b) urgent/high priority: within 24 hours; (c) routine: within 1 week; (d) more than 1 week as directed by the Contract Administrator. On completion of service works the contractor must issue a report/certificate detailing equipment and devices serviced together with test results. The report should include details of any defects identified together with recommendations of any works required with details and cost for the recommended repairs or replacements. A minimum 1-year guarantee on labour and parts of all repairs or new works is required. Scheduled service works are to be carried out at a planned frequency in accordance with an agreed programme and to minimum standards.
